Switzerland goalkeeper Diego Benaglio has warned their surprise win over 2010 FIFA World Cup™ favourites Spain will count for nothing if they fail to reach the last 16.

Ottmar Hitzfeld's side shocked the Group H top seeds in their opening match in South Africa with a 1-0 victory. Chile, another fancied team, are their next opponents before they finish off their group campaign against Honduras.

It may have been historical, okay, but at a FIFA World Cup it's the three points that count.

And goalkeeper Benaglio admits that while the win over Vicente Del Bosque's side will live long in the memory, it is imperative they build on the victory.

"Let's just keep our feet on the ground," he said. "Nobody will ever deny this victory against Spain. It may have been historical, okay, but at a FIFA World Cup it's the three points that count. And they won't count much if we do not add some more in this group stage."
