Andre Bikey believes Samuel Eto'o will carry the hopes of Cameroon on his back at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

Paul Le Guen's side will face the Netherlands, Denmark and Japan in Group E.

Eto'o goes into the competition in good heart after helping Inter Milan win the UEFA Champions League at the weekend, when they defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final.

We know he is one of the top strikers in the world. If he is fit and confident he can help us again.

Burnley's Bikey, who was omitted from the Cameroon squad after helping them qualify, said: "Samuel is not just important for the team, he is important for everyone.

"We know he is one of the top strikers in the world. If he is fit and confident he can help us again. We have to be sure he is ok."
