Germany coach Joachim Low is not interested in discussing a new contract until his side have qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

Heading into next month's qualifier against Azerbaijan in Baku, Germany top Group 4 by just a point from Russia.

Asked about the possibility of a new deal, Low said: "Only after the World Cup qualifiers. That will take up all my attention in the coming months. That will be the time to discuss a contract extension."

While many German eyes are on the clash against Russia in Moscow on 10 October, Low is thinking only of Azerbaijan.

"There's too much talk of Moscow," he told kicker. "We shouldn't lose more points. First comes the away game in Baku, which will take place at the start of the Bundesliga season, so the players still won't be match fit.

"Moreover, it's very warm and there's a long journey - this game is difficult enough, so we must concentrate. Russia is not until October."
