Josif Kuze was named as the new coach of Albania, the Croatian taking over from Ari Haan who stood down last month.

Haan, who was a member of the great Ajax team of the 1970's and the Dutch side that reached the 1978 FIFA World Cup™ final, had coached Albania since January 2008 after the departure of his predecessor Otto Baric. But he resigned after Albania won just one and lost three out of their seven matches in European Zone Group One qualifying.

Kuze takes up the post after a spell with Rwanda and Japanese side Jef United.
