Seydou Keita looks set to miss Mali's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier against Ghana this weekend due to an injury picked up during Barcelona's Primera Division win over Real Mallorca on Saturday.

The in-form midfielder, who has scored four goals in Barca's last four matches, damaged his left knee during the 4-2 victory and, after resting for 24 hours, underwent tests this morning to determine the extent of the problem.

Following the result of those tests, the club's medical team have advised Keita to avoid playing for 10 days and for him to continue treatment in Barcelona, seemingly ruling him out of Mali's trip to Ghana this weekend.

Mali have no chance of qualifying for next year's FIFA World Cup, as Ghana have already secured top spot in Group D of the African section.
