Mexico played out a 2-2 draw with Trinidad and Tobago in the final round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

Kerry Baptiste opened the scoring for Trinidad and Tobago in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot in front of a crowd of 8,000 at Hasely Crawford Stadium.

Mexico's Enrique Esqueda levelled the match in the 55th minute, but Baptiste scored his second goal of the game five minutes later to regain the lead for Trinidad and Tobago. Mexico's Carlos Salcido rounded out the scoring in the 67th minute to tie it 2-2.

Mexico had already qualified for South Africa 2010. El Salvador and Trinidad and Tobago were the first two teams eliminated in the CONCACAF region.

Mexico finished second in the group standings with 19 points, just one point adrift of first place USA.
