Captain Cristian Chivu and star striker Adrian Mutu, who both missed Romania's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifiers against Lithuania and the Faroe Islands, return to their national side for the crunch 11 October showdown against France.
Chivu and Mutu are two of 10 foreign-based Romanians called up by coach Victor Piturca for the third qualifying match for, which will be played in the Black Sea city of Constanta.
Chivu (shoulder) and Mutu (elbow) missed Romania's humiliating 3-0 loss to Lithuania on 6 September and the narrow 1-0 win over the Faroes four days later, but have both since made their returns for Inter Milan and Fiorentina in the Italian league.
