Captain Cristian Chivu and former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu have been called up by Romania coach Victor Piturca for next weekend's 2010 FIFA World Cup™ qualifier against France.

Piturca has also called up Florentin Petre of Russian club Grozny for Saturday's match in Constanta, in the south east of the country, because of the unavailability of Steaua Bucharest's Banel Nicolita.

CFR Cluj, who have caused a sensation in the UEFA Champions League by beating AS Roma and drawing to Chelsea, have one resprentative in midfielder Gabriel Muresan.

Romania are in fifth place in Group F behind France, who also have three points but a better goal difference.
