Czech goalkeeper Petr Cech will miss Wednesday's 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier against Slovenia with a thigh injury.

"Warming up on Wedensday morning showed that the injury to Petr Cech's thigh muscle limits him to such a point that couldn't play at 100 per cent," team spokesman Lukas Tucek said.

The Chelsea keeper, 26, sustained the injury during the Czech Republic's 2-1 loss to Poland on Saturday.

Czech coach Petr Rada will now choose between Anderlecht's Daniel Zitka, who has won one cap, and Hertha Berlin's uncapped Jaroslav Drobny.
