DC United striker Jaime Moreno has been called up by Bolivia for FIFA World Cup 2010 qualifying matches at Argentina on November 17 and Venezuela on November 20, the team announced Thursday.
Moreno became Major League Soccer's all-time scoring leader in August with his 109th goal on a penalty kick in a 3-1 victory over New York. He added three more for seven in 21 games this season and a career total of 112 goals.
Moreno, 33, was the youngest player in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and has scored 11 goals in 70 matches for the national side, who also called upon him for duty in qualifiers and Copa America earlier this year.
United finished with the best record in MLS this season but was eliminated in the first round of the championship playoffs.
