Stadiums update – First half of February 2013

With the Estadio Castelao (Fortaleza) and Estadio Mineirao (Belo Horizonte) already handed over and hosting matches, FIFA.com brings you up-to-date images of the other four arenas also set to welcome the action at the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013: the Estadio do Maracana (Rio de Janeiro), Arena Fonte Nova (Salvador), Arena Pernambuco (Recife) and the Estadio Nacional (Brasilia). Perhaps most notable is the progress on the roof and playing surface at the Fonte Nova (above), a stadium set to be tested for the first time come late March.

To check out the updated stadium photos, click on the gallery on the right and take a look at the latest edition of the “Stadiums progress” series, published on FIFA.comevery fortnight in the case of the six FIFA Confederations Cup stadiums and monthly for those venues only to be used at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.
