Football fans in Japan now have the opportunity to embrace the excitement surrounding the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil by either ordering their own ‘piece of the action’ on FIFA's new e-commerce platform on FIFA.com or by visiting Japan’s first 2014 FIFA World Cup™ Official Event store operated by Kamo.
The first store opened its doors on 7 December in Osaka at Soccer Shop Kamo Umeda and will be followed by 17 other stores all over Japan in dedicated Soccer Shop Kamo Stores. Both the Official Event Stores as well as the online store will be running until 31 December 2014.
Product offerings will include Fuleco plush toys, the Official Mascot of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, as well as a range of additional event-specific merchandise and limited items. In addition, fans will also be able to show their support and devotion to their own national teams with selected national team jerseys being offered as well, including the newly launched brazuca, adidas’ Official Match Ball for the tournament.
"Both the e-commerce platform as well as dedicated Official Event Stores are a vitally important component of our global licensing programme," said FIFA’s Marketing Director Thierry Weil.
