STEPHEN KESHI, NIGERIA COACH
"Everybody is happy in west Africa. Ghana got their result. We won. It’s good for the continent. The fighting spirit we showed was good. I never thought that we wouldn’t make the Round of 16. I have the players."
SAFET SUSIC, BOSNIA AND HEREZGOVINA COACH
"The match unfolded exactly the way I imagined. It was an open game, two teams wishing to win, lots of chances at either end. We had a lot of chances and didn’t convert any. They had one and scored that goal."

How can you be in Brazil and not be listening to Iron Maiden "Rock in Rio" live album! Run to the hills my friends!— Kasey Keller (@Kasey Keller) 21/06/2014 15:00
The Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder spoke about his upcoming match.
“For us players this is an important, key match. We are raring to go, we can hardly wait for it to start. As the coach said, if we lose we go home, but we will not let that happen. We will fight. We are preparing for this match in the best possible way. We want to be fit and well rested as Nigeria are a very good team – which they have shown be being continental champions. I am sure they have not played their best game against Iran. The pressure is a bit greater than for the first game, but we are confident in our style of play."
STAT OF THE DAY
Argentina striker Gabriel Batistuta bagged hat-tricks in a 4-0 victory against Greece on this day in 1994 and again in 1998 during La Albiceleste's 5-0 triumph over Jamaica. Batistuta is one of only four players to have scored three or more goals in two different FIFA World Cups. The others are Just Fontaine, Sandor Kocsis and Gerd Muller.
INDIA ON SOCIAL MEDIA
You don’t need a national team in play to be carried away by the carnival atmosphere of the World Cup. In June, 5 million fans from India have engaged with FIFA digital platforms without having a home team in the tournament.
We all know the Argentina superstar has scored some great goals in his time with La Albiceleste, but take a look at this strike that helped Argentina top rivals Brazil in the semi-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup Netherlands 2005.
Today sees the re-match between Jerome Boateng and brother Kevin-Prince when Germany and Ghana square off in Fortaleza. The two played against each other at South Africa 2010, when Germany beat the Black Stars 1-0, in the first-ever occasion when brothers faced each other at the World Cup. They're ready to meet again later today, but as can be expected there are mixed emotions involve when these two top talents meet.

Ahead of today's first game, Argentina-Iran, it may come as no surprise that Lionel Messi is currently our top trending player on our social hub. Take a look at who else is currently in the top ten, including an opponent of La Albiceleste's No10 today!

CARLOS QUEIROZ, IRAN COACH
The former Manchester United assistant coach explains his outlook on today's match against Argentina.
"I think our primary mission is to go beyond our limits, to put in an outstanding performance because we're up against a team of great quality. We can't play against Messi, we'll play with Messi, with a lot of concentration and discipline."
SABELLA NOT SORE OVER MESSI CRITICISM
Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella said Lionel Messi was right to go public with his criticism of his tactics.
"He was asked how he likes to play and he answered what he thinks in a respectful way. We respect each other, we have a very strong team spirit. It is good to have an open dialogue with my players. Sometimes players learn from us the coaches and sometimes we learn from them."
WHAT YOU'RE SAYING
Our FIFA.com club members have been busy on the message boards, and they have a lot to say after today's games! Here are a few comments that have come in.
Can't wait for this historic match. 37 yrs ago Parvin and co drew Argentina in Madrid Tournament. The same Argentine side that won 1978 World Cup. Hope Team Melli grabs a point from this match or if lose this match be 2-1 so we'll see a goal for Iran. Viva Iran. Vamos.
I think Gemany (being one of the favourites) is stronger than Ghana. But it will not be as easy as the game versus Portugal.
BOATENG READY FOR BATTLE
Germany's Jerome Boateng tweeted earlier this morning ahead of his side's game against Ghana.
Good morning from #Fortaleza ! It's Matchday! #GERGHA #jb17— Jerome Boateng (@Jerome Boateng) 21/06/2014 13:07
