“For us players this is an important, key match. We are raring to go, we can hardly wait for it to start. As the coach said, if we lose we go home, but we will not let that happen. We will fight. We are preparing for this match in the best possible way. We want to be fit and well rested as Nigeria are a very good team – which they have shown be being continental champions. I am sure they have not played their best game against Iran. The pressure is a bit greater than for the first game, but we are confident in our style of play."

Argentina striker Gabriel Batistuta bagged hat-tricks in a 4-0 victory against Greece on this day in 1994 and again in 1998 during La Albiceleste's 5-0 triumph over Jamaica. Batistuta is one of only four players to have scored three or more goals in two different FIFA World Cups. The others are Just Fontaine, Sandor Kocsis and Gerd Muller.
