Vincey Heat received a bye through to the second round of qualifying for South Africa 2010, but that was as far as they would go. Much was expected of the Caribbean side after reaching the first group stage of regional qualifying for Germany 2006, but Canada had other ideas.
The first leg in Kingstown produced a 3-0 loss for the Island side, struggling to deal with the loss of long-time captain and defensive lynchpin Ezra Hendrickson.
The second leg in Montreal produced more of the same, as St. Vincent saw their campaign come to an end after a 4-1 loss on the night and an 7-1 aggregate defeat.
