Raymond Domenech, France (Coach):
"It's not a straightforward group. Only first place will guarantee qualification. The away fixtures will be tricky to organise and the games themselves will be every bit as difficult. I'm delighted to be returning to Lithuania and the Faroe Islands [who were also in France's UEFA EURO 2008 qualifying group]. We were very well received by the locals in both countries - and if their teams are able to offer us all six points again, I'll not object (laughter)! Romania and Serbia would appear to be our toughest two opponents."

Mircea Sandu, Romania (Association President):
"Even though France stand a better chance, we can still aim to top the group. It will be a three-way battle between us, France and Serbia. You shouldn't forget that three teams from this group will be taking part in Euro 2008. Perhaps we could have had an easier draw. Personally, I'd have preferred to have been drawn in Group 2 with Greece and Switzerland."

Andreas Herzog, Austria (Co-coach and former international): "Unfortunately, we've ended up in a very tough group, when you look at the likes of Romania, Serbia and the runners-up at the last World Cup France. That's just the way it is, and we'll have to come up with some good results to make sure that we don't end up in pot 5 again. I'm obviously a little disappointed, since we would have had an easier time of it in two or three of the other groups, but we still reckon we stand a chance."

Jogvan Martin Olsen, Faroe Islands (Coach)
"Although Group 7 appears very tricky, because it includes World Cup runners-up France, my team is prepared for everything."
