Rabah Saadane, Algeria coach
We were handed a tough group. Egypt are the best African side at the continental level and the reigning African champions. We will fight to win every match but our focus will be on reaching the Africa Cup of Nations which we have not done since 2004.
Hassan Shehata, Egypt coach
I think all the groups are strong. There is no such a thing as an easy group. I do not see Algeria as our only contenders. I have much respect for Zambia and Rwanda as well but I can say that I am quite pleased with the sequence of matches which will allow us to host Algeria in our final match. I was hoping not to face any North African teams in our group so that the Arab teams would have the maximum chance to qualify for the finals. All of that said, I promise the people of my country to take my team to the World Cup.
Hossam Hassan, former Egypt star
It is a very easy group for Egypt. I am sure we will qualify this time and I have no doubts that we will appear in the finals in South Africa in 2010. The current Algerian side is not as good as they used to be in the 90's while Zambia and Rwanda lack the sufficient experience.
Hervé Renard, Zambia coach
In football, nothing is impossible. We have the same chance as Algeria and Rwanda and even Egypt. We know that the Egyptians will be considered group favourites because they were seeded and they are African champions. It will be difficult to play in North Africa but we have to travel and win anywhere.
