Pitroipa heads Burkina into semis
Unfancied Burkina Faso will play a CAF Africa Cup of Nations semi-final outside their own country for the first time following an extra-time win over Togo. Jonathan Pitroipa headed the winner in the first period of extra-time.
Manchester clubs crash out, Schalke through
Athletic Bilbao beat Manchester United 2-1 at home to complete their aggregate victory, Manchester City were knocked out by Sporting CP on away goals, while Schalke thrashed FC Twente 4-1 to reach the quarter-finals.
