Leaders CSKA Moscow returned to winning ways to maintain their three-point lead at the top of the Russian Premier League while Zenit St Petersburg thrashed Alania Vladikavkaz and Anzhi Makhachkala also won.
Spartak down Anzhi, CSKA stumble
Third-placed Anzhi Makhachkala were beaten 2-0 by Spartak Moscow while Russian Premier League leaders CKSA Moscow had their lead at the top cut to three points after they were defeated by Rubin Kazan.
