With his towering height, Vangelis Moras is a commanding and reassuring presence in the centre of the defence.
The 28-year-old Bologna centre-half started out with his hometown team of Larissa in 1999. Two years later he signed for Proodeftiki and helped them win promotion to the Greek Super League in 2002.
After producing a string of mature displays in his first season in the elite, he was snapped up by AEK Athens. He spent four years in the Greek capital before joining Italian outfit Bologna in July 2007, winning promotion to the Serie A with them in his first season.
His fine form in Italy was rewarded with a call-up to the Greece side, his debut coming in a February 2009 friendly against Denmark. Since then he has made nine more appearances under Otto Rehhagel.
Moras also represented his country at the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Athens 2004.
