Where and when is the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ being held?
The 2010 FIFA World Cup™ is being hosted in South Africa from 11th June to 11th July 2010. There are ten FIFA World Cup™ venues in nine host cities. For further information please click on the link below:

There will be a total of 32 national teams participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ including South Africa (the host nation). The remaining 31 teams are determined based on their success in qualifying matches taking place around the world throughout 2009. What types of Tickets are available?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase (15th April 2010 to 11th July 2010) there will be one product type available for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™:-
- Match Tickets. These are Tickets to individual matches.
What is a Team Specific Ticket Series (TST)?
These are ticket strips to follow the national team of your choice. Please note TST products are no longer available for sale during the Last Minute Sales Phase. Depending on which TST Series you applied for, your TST Series may include between three and seven matches as shown below.

Why is the Opening Match more expensive than the other Group Matches?
The Opening Match includes the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ and therefore the Ticket Face Price is higher than the Face Price of tickets for the other Group Matches.
What is the Opening Match Premium?

Is there a minimum age for children? Can my child sit on my lap?
There is no minimum age for children. All children must have their own Ticket to access the stadium.
Is there any reduced Ticket price for my child?
No. All Ticket prices apply to both adults and children.
How do I register to apply for Tickets online?
In order to apply online you first need to register in the FIFA.com Club on www.FIFA.com (registration is free). Activation of your membership is not required in order to apply for tickets. To register in the FIFA.com Club please refer to the link below:

When can I apply for Tickets?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase you may apply for tickets commencing 15th April 2010 to 11th July 2010.
Applications for Tickets will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis, Ticket transactions will be conducted immediately at the time of sale.
What is the maximum number of Tickets I can request? / What are the household restrictions?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase all Ticket Applicants can apply for up to ten tickets per match for a maximum of seven matches. If a Ticket Applicant has successfully purchased tickets from previous Sales Phases these will not be included within the above mentioned restriction. Any new requests will be processed separately. Tickets cannot be purchased for different Matches being played on the same day. All tickets ordered for a given match must be for the same ticket category, but Ticket Applicants can order different categories for different matches. The Ticket Applicant must attend each match they have requested Tickets for.
All Ticket requests are subject to availability.
Can I apply for just one match?
Yes, it is possible to apply for Tickets for an individual match.

Is it possible to apply for Tickets online without paying by a payment card?
No. The only method of payment for requests via the website is payment card. Visa is the preferred payment card for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.
Can I use a relative’s or friend’s payment card to pay for my Tickets?
The main Applicant must be the payment card holder and must be the person to collect the Tickets in South Africa. Additional identification may be required when collecting your 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ Tickets.

Can I pay for Tickets in Installments?
No. All Tickets must be paid in full if your application is successful.
What and where is the Payment Card Security Code?
a) The code is a security feature that allows the FWCTC and your Payment Card issuer to identify you as the cardholder and provide you with additional security against fraud.
b) The Card Security Code is the last three digits of the number printed on the signature panel located on the back of your card.
What if I have insufficient funds on my payment card account?
If you have insufficient funds on your payment card account and therefore your payment is not processed successfully, your application will be cancelled.
How can I verify bank account details I have received in order to make payment for 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ Tickets?

What do I do if my payment card is lost or stolen before I pick up my tickets?
You must advise the FWCTC immediately via this link. We also recommend that you report your card lost or stolen to your card provider and to the Police.
How secure is the transfer of my payment card and personal information when making a request online?
To ensure the security of your payment card and personal information for your Ticket request, we use the latest Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology securely transfers credit card and other sensitive data over the internet.
What information do I have to provide along with my application?
As the Applicant, you will need to provide your personal information, as indicated below, within the Ticket Application.

Why do I have to provide all this information along with my application?
The personal details are required in order to facilitate the successful processing of applications and the collection of Tickets. In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for the Use of Tickets and the Public Sales Regulations, the personal data that you submit will, subject to applicable law, be used, processed, stored, and transferred to third parties (located both within and outside of South Africa) for purposes relating to Ticket sales and allocation procedures, relevant safety and security measures and/or rights protection measures in connection with the event. We seek your consent to this use of the data as part of the application process.
Why do I have to provide my passport / South African National ID reference?
Your passport / South African National ID reference is one of the mandatory details to be provided in order to complete your application. Please note that most nationalities will require a visa to enter South Africa and that it is your own responsibility to seek information in order to obtain a visa.
I do not have a passport, what should I do? Unless you are a South African resident you will need a passport reference in order to request Tickets and to enter South Africa.
What happens if my form is incorrect or incomplete?
If your form is incorrect or incomplete your application will be rejected – please ensure you have filled in your application form as carefully as possible.

What is a Ticket Terminal?
A Ticket Terminal is a ticketing machine (kiosk) which will be used by the general public to print their Tickets in South Africa at the Ticket collection points. The details of the Ticket collection points are detailed within the below link:

How can I find where the nearest Ticket Terminal is?
You will receive a communication with all the Ticket collection points, the so called FIFA Ticketing Centres, where you can find Ticket Terminals in order to print your Tickets together with the operating times. Ticket Terminals will be operational from 15th April 2010. If you have not received information regarding the location of the Ticket collection points by the end of May 2010, please send a request for information to enquiries@2010fwctc.com.
What is a FIFA Ticketing Centre?
The FIFA Ticketing Centre is the office where the FWCTC manages the Ticketing Operations in each of the Host Cities and where the ticket terminals will be housed.
When will I know if my application was successful?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase, Ticket transactions will be conducted immediately at the time of sale. If you apply online and register an email address you will receive an email communication confirming the outcome of your application.
My username and password is not recognised, why?

Can I amend my Ticket Application?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase it is not possible to amend / delete a submitted ticket request.
If I am successful in the application process, can I resell my tickets to someone else?
In accordance with the Sales Regulations and General Terms and Conditions that each ticket holder agreed to in connection with the ticket application process, ticket holders may not sell, offer for sale, resell, donate or otherwise transfer their ticket in any way, without the specific prior written approval of FIFA. Transfer requests will be considered in accordance with the Ticket Transfer Policy defined by FIFA and available on www.FIFA.com . The purposes for the rule limiting ticket transfers include: (a) event security, (b) consumer protection, and (c) economic fairness as described generally below.
Can I allow one of my guests to become the main applicant on my application?
No, Ticket Applicants are not permitted to transfer the Ticket allocated to the Ticket Applicant himself. If the Ticket Applicant is unable to attend the match for which he has purchased Tickets, then he may submit all of his Tickets for possible resale under the Ticket Resale programme.
How will tickets be entered back into resale? Will it be through the normal sales channel?
Any Tickets that are offered for resale will be entered back into the General Public Ticket allocation and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. There is no guarantee that demand for Tickets will result in the Tickets being resold. If the Ticket Applicant’s Tickets are not resold, no resale proceeds will be returned to the Ticket Applicant.
Once my ticket has been entered for resale can I purchase more Tickets?
Yes. Household restrictions will be increased to 10 Tickets per Match, and a maximum of 7 Matches during the Last Minute Sales Phase (LMS). Tickets purchased in any of the previous Sales Phases will not be taken into account for the LMS Household Restrictions.
Once my ticket has been entered for resale, can I recall it?
Yes, a Ticket Applicant can change his/ her mind, and take his/ her Ticket(s) out of the programme at any time, so long as the Ticket(s) have not yet been resold or the Ticket Applicant did not select the “Give to Ticket Fund” option.
What if my ticket is lost, destroyed or stolen?
TREAT YOUR TICKETS WITH CARE AND KEEP THEM IN A SAFE LOCATION AT ALL TIMES. Due to security concerns, duplicate Tickets will not be issued, because duplicate Tickets could result in more spectators entering the Stadium than the Stadium could safely accommodate. Can I choose where I sit?
During the Last Minute Sales Phase you will be presented with a representation of the relevant stadium, this will detail the blocks the available seats are within your selected ticket category. If more than one block populates, you will have the ability to select your preference. You will then be provided with the best available seats within that block. The system permits you to select or reject these.
Are there Tickets for persons with wheelchairs?
A limited number of Tickets for wheelchair users will be available exclusively for persons who, due to disability, are unable to attend a football match without using a wheelchair. For each purchased Wheelchair Ticket a complimentary Ticket will be provided for a companion. Please note that the companion’s details will also be requested (first name, surname, date of birth and passport / South African ID reference). What if I am disabled and need other accommodations?
Ticket Applicants with other disabilities, including visual impairment, requiring specific accommodation recognised by law should contact the FIFA World Cup Ticketing Centre via enquiries@2010fwctc.com regarding their specific requirements.
Why didn’t I get the category I applied for?
This is because the category you applied for was not available and you selected the option whereby you agreed to accept Tickets of a lower category if your original choice was not available.

What is FIFA doing about hooligans?
FIFA is working closely with all participating National Football Member Associations and authorities to ensure that individuals who have been banned from attending football matches are not able to purchase Tickets. If a successful applicant is later found to be included in a National / Member Association's list of banned individuals, that person’s application will be cancelled.

I have Tickets. How do I get accommodation?
A wide variety of hotels, bed and breakfasts, guest houses and game lodges are available in South Africa. Accommodation can be secured directly from these establishments, through tour operators, accommodation websites and other sources.
