It had been suggested that Nakamura would consider a January move to a Japanese club because travelling to and from Scotland is taking its toll on the 30-year-old.
But the midfielder signalled his intention to remain with Gordon Strachan's team by revealing his plan to return from Asia in time to play in Celtic's Scottish Premier League clash against Inverness.
Nakamura joins up with the Japan squad this week to play the United Arab Emirates in a friendly before facing Uzbekistan in a 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier next Wednesday, fuelling concerns he wouldn't return in time to prepare for the 18 October lunchtime clash at the Caledonian Stadium.
"I will make it," he told Glasgow newspaper The Evening Times. "The time difference will hopefully work in my favour and I am aiming to be back for training the day before the game.
"I just have to get on with it. It is an honour to play for your country and an honour to play with Celtic. There are always a lot of games in a season but I am used to it. I enjoy playing football.
