After recording an impressive opening day 2-0 win over Greece, Korea Republic suffered a 4-1 defeat by rampant Argentina. But Huh Jung-moo's side know victory over Nigeria would secure a place in the last 16 for only the second time and first time on foreign soil following their success in 2002 - as long as Greece fail to beat Group B leaders Argentina.
"A more important match than the previous two games awaits us," said 37-year-old Lee, who is making his fourth FIFA World Cup finals appearance but has not played in the two opening Group B outings.
"The players are going through much preparation and we expect good results from the match. The best result we can gain is a victory. Such a result can only be achieved with the attitude and longing for a victory."
Nigeria have suffered back-to-back defeats by Argentina and Greece but know three points would also keep their hopes of qualification alive as long as Argentina beat Greece.
