Argentina legend Mario Kempes scored 20 goals in 43 appearances for his country, playing in three FIFA World Cups™: 1974, 1978 and 1982.
The striker - nicknamed El Matador - was the star of the show in 1978. As the only foreign-based member of coach Cesar Menotti's squad while plying his trade to huge success with Spanish outfit Valencia, Kempes top-scored with six goals.
It helped spark celebrations for the host nation as his double in the final earned Argentina a 3-1 victory against the Netherlands.
