The Syli Nationale are seeking to bounce back after being beaten 4-2 in Burkina Faso two months ago in their opening Group E match. Bangoura's return ends an 18-month absence from the national team in the squad announced by coach Robert Nouzaret for the qualifiers in Conakry on 7 June and 21 June.
The 27-year-old forward has scored three goals this season for Greek club Panserraikos, who finished second from bottom. Called up for the first time is French-born midfielder Richard Soumah from Ligue 2 club Guingamp having featured in Breton's historic French Cup final win a fortnight ago.
Also new to the squad is goalkeeper Mohamed Nhowe Bangoura and defender Aboubacar Buenga Camara. Defender Mangue Camara is also recalled. A major blow to Guinea's hopes is the injury to Fode Mansare of Ligue 1 club Toulouse, who has been absent with injury since the end of April.
