"People who believe in destiny might explain it otherwise. But I don't have an explanation for what happened today. It really was a hard match, we didn’t play well but we survived very difficult circumstances. We conceded a goal at the end of the first half and we had a penalty against us in the last second. Maybe we didn't play that well but we had the guts to do it,"
Oscar Tabarez, Uruguay coach

Ghana could have won this match if it wasn't for Luis Suarez made a handball

To this very day no one person that supported Ghana will admit that there was no free kick to begin with, there was a penalty on Abreu that was never called, various offsides during the game including in the last incident that weren't called, Muntari should have been sent off for kicking Pereira in the head. People it's called KARMA!!! We played against reffs and a pack stadium of ghana supporters and we WON

At the end of extra time, Asamoah Gyan had a big chance to win it for Ghana, but his penalty rattled the crossbar. Fernando Muslera, goalkeeper of Uruguay, made 2 saves in the penalty shootout. I think Muslera is a good goalkeeper.
