
What are the three must see places in you city for visitors?
For me the Boardwalk, its close to the beach and it’s a beautiful place. Second one is the Monument, the third one is Greenacres Mall.
What can visitors expect from the city’s football fans?
Very friendly – Port Elizabeth is known as a friendly city so you can expect very friendly people. People over there love football there.
What’s your favourite 'hang-out' place in the city and why?
For me, I always go to the beach. Obviously after a long season in Europe, I’m always looking forward to beautiful weather at the beach. I always go there to relax and unwind..
If you were to take a day trip out of the city, where would you go?
It will be Aldo Elephant Park (just outside Port Elizabeth). I will also visit Port Alfred and East London – they are beautiful cities around Port Elizabeth.
Who do you think is the most famous person to come out of your city and why?
We have many big people from the Eastern Cape. Madiba (Nelson Mandela) is from there, Thabo Mbeki (the former South African president) and Danny Jordaan are some of the big names from the Eastern Cape province.
How is the hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup going to impact your city?
This is a good opportunity for my country to show its worth to the rest of the world. It is going to create a lot of job opportunities, so naturally, we are excited about the event.
