Angola the third team to arrive in Germany
Angola became the third FIFA World Cup finalists to arrive in Germany when they landed on Saturday in the northern town of Hanover near their training base in Celle three weeks before the tournament begins.
The team were welcomed at the Hanover airport by Lower Saxony state Interior Minister Uwe Schuenemann and other local officials in cool and damp weather before they travelled to Celle.
Togo were the first of the 32 teams to arrive in Germany last Monday followed by Costa Rica on Wednesday. Germany have gone the other way, spending two weeks' training in Italy and Switzerland.
FIFA World Cup final debutants Angola were welcomed to Celle with a town party on Saturday afternoon with thousands of Germans waving Angola flags as the team bus rolled through the historic town centre.
Angola, who play in Group D against Portugal, Mexico and Iran, will play three friendlies - on 31 May against Argentina in Naples, on 2 June against Saudi Arabia in Leverkusen and on 5 June against the United States in Norderstedt, near Hanover.
