Holders Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United could meet in the English League Cup final after the last two Premier League clubs left in the competition were kept apart in Saturday's semi-final draw.
Tottenham will play Burnley, quarter-finals conquerors of Spurs's north London rivals Arsenal. The Clarets will be looking for another top-flight scalp having knocked Chelsea out in the previous round.
Meanwhile English and European champions United, who last won the League Cup in 2006, take on another team from the second-tier Championship in Derby.
The semi-final ties will be played over two legs, with Spurs welcoming Burnley to White Hart Lane and United travelling to Pride Park for the first in the week commencing 5 January.
The second leg ties are due to take place in the week starting 19 January.
