Martins out for six weeks

Newcastle United will be without Obafemi Martins for around six weeks after the player sustained a knee injury.

The Nigerian forward suffered the injury in Wednesday night's 2-1 League Cup defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, and caretaker manager Chris Hughton said: "First indications are that he will be out for about six weeks."

The news could not have come at a worse time for Newcastle, who have lost their last four matches and are struggling to escape from the relegation zone at a time when the club is up for sale.

AC Milan-Inter Milan, Portsmouth-Tottenham Hotspur and Espanyol-Barcelona are among the matches on the FIFA World Leagues Predictor's Round 6 menu. If you haven't already, be sure to sign up and take a shot at winning this weekend's prize.
