Laudrup takes over at Spartak

Dane Michael Laudrup has signed an 18-month contract with nine-time Russian champions Spartak Moscow.

The club's general manager Valery Karpin announced the deal, although he did not disclose any financial details.

Laudrup, 44, won the domestic title and the national cup with Danish side Brondby, before taking over Spanish outfit Getafe.

Laudrup won 104 caps for Denmark, scoring 37 goals. He turned out for Juventus, Lazio, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Ajax during his playing career.
