Richards to return for City's Danish date

England defender Micah Richards is due to play in Manchester City's UEFA Cup tie at FC Midtjylland in Denmark on Thursday despite being hospitalised with concussion on Sunday.

Richards was knocked out after a clash of heads with teammate Tal Ben Haim in City's 3-0 Premier League win over West Ham at Eastlands.

After lengthy treatment on the pitch he regained consciousness before being taken to hospital for tests.

But manager Mark Hughes revealed on Wednesday the defender is training and "should be okay" for the second qualifying round second leg, in which City must overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit.

Summer signing Jo could make his debut after returning from Olympic duty with Brazil but Kelvin Etuhu and Benjani Mwaruwari are among those who have not made the trip.
