Real Madrid will let Robinho join Chelsea for 40 million euros, eight million less than they have offered, according to Spanish sports daily Marca.
British media yesterday revealed Chelsea offered Real 25 million euros for the transfer of Robinho. Marca, however, did not reveal their sources.
The paper said the 24-year-old and his agent met Los Merengues president Ramon Calderon with a 32-million-euro bid on the table, adding Calderon reluctantly agreed to let him go for 40 million euros.
Marca added Robinho was determined to leave the club, and will refuse to play against Valencia on Sunday in the Spanish Super Cup.
