Korea Republic winger Park Ji-Sung hopes to return to training with Manchester United next week after recovering from a knee injury.
Park has been forced to watch from the sidelines during United's pre-season preparations after he aggrevated an old knee problem while on international duty in June.
The 27-year-old, who was sidelined for six months when he last suffered the injury, has completed his rehabilitation much quicker this time and expects to take part in first-team training sessions after United's Premier League opener against Newcastle on Sunday.
"I need probably one more week (before I return to full training), I'm nearly there," Park told MUTV.
"I'm looking forward to the season because last season I missed six months. I want to play more than last season and show my ability on the pitch. Then maybe I will get more chances in the team."
