Fulham signed veteran Swiss goalkeeper Pascal Zuberbuhler on a free transfer from Neuchatel Xamax on Wednesday.
Zuberbuhler, 37, agreed a one-year contract with Roy Hodgson's side after a three-week trial and will serve as back-up for Australia's Mark Schwarzer.
"I've known Mark Schwarzer for a long time and played against him in the past," he told Fulham's website.
"I know he's the number one, but I'm here to give my best so that, in the end, the team is successful. That's my mentality."
