Adelaide United have continued their off-season recruitment drive with the signing of 22-year-old striker Robert Younis from NSW Premier League side APIA-Leichhardt.

Younis has been in tremendous goalscoring form for his erstwhile team, and Adelaide coach Aurelio Vidmar has high hopes that the youngster will provide good support for new Brazilian signing Cristiano and former Australian international Paul Agostino up front.

"Robert will be a great addition to our squad. We think he has what it takes to go to the next level, to back up Cristiano and Paul Agostino as the squad's third striker," Vidmar said.

Adelaide are likely to have their playing resources stretched to the limit in the forthcoming months. They will be fighting on two fronts, combining their A-League exertions with their AFC Asian Champions League quarter-final tie against Japanese giants Kashima Antlers.
