Mancini to swap Roma for Inter

Versatile Brazilian Mancini is expected to swap Roma for Italian champions Inter Milan in a deal reported to be worth around 13 million euros. "The two parties are satisfied," Inter official Gabriele Oriali told Sky television.

Italian media claimed that the 27-year-old would be paid around 3.5 million euros a season. He would link up with his compatriots Julio Cesar, Maicon, Maxwell and Adriano at the Nerazzurri.

Mancini moved to Roma from Atletico Mineiro in January 2003, and has since won the Coppa Italia twice and played in two UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, where Roma were beaten by Manchester United. In total, he has made 154 appearances in Serie A, scoring 40 goals.
