Russian Premier League side Samara have signed Czech striker Jan Koller from Nuremberg, who were recently relegated from the German Bundesliga, according to media reports. The 35-year-old has penned an 18-month deal with the Metallurg Stadium outfit.
Koller ended his international career after Czech Republic were eliminated in the group phase at UEFA EURO 2008. He scored 55 goals in 90 games for his country.
At Samara, who are currently seventh in the Premier League, the 2.02m attacker will team up with compatriot Jiri Jarosik, who joined the club from Scottish giants Celtic in January. No financial details of Koller's transfer have been disclosed.
Koller played for Sparta Prague until 1996, before leaving for Belgian top-flight team Lokeren. He has since turned out for Anderlecht, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco.
