Dutch winger Daniel de Ridder has signed for English Premiership club Wigan Athletic following his release from relegated Birmingham City.
De Ridder, 24, moved to Birmingham a year ago when current Wigan boss Steve Bruce was in charge at St Andrews.
Bruce said he had had no hesitation about signing the former Netherlands U-21 player for a second time, despite his limited impact for Birmingham last season.
"Daniel is an exciting player and I'm convinced he can make an impact at Wigan," Bruce said after de Ridder signed a three-year deal.
"He has very quick feet and can pull off the unexpected, he's a player with a trick who can go past defenders and has an eye for a pass.
"He's also versatile enough to play in a number of positions."
