Nigeria forward Julius Aghahowa agreed to join Turkish club Kayserispor from Wigan on Friday.
Aghahowa, 26, signed a three-year contract and will officially link up with his new club on 1 July. The former Shakhtar Donetsk star endured a miserable time in the Premier League and failed to score during his 18-month spell at the JJB Stadium.
"Julius is a lovely guy and he tried his best to adjust to life in the Premier League. I never found fault with his attitude or effort in training or when selected," Wigan manager Steve Bruce said. "However, he never really managed to get started while I've been at the club and I think it's best for both parties that he moves on."
