Lagerback gets two-year extension

Sweden coach Lars Lagerback has signed a two-year extension to his contract taking him through to 2010, the Swedish Football Federation announced on Friday.

The 59-year-old Lagerback has been in charge of the national side since 2004 and last year he helped qualify his country for the Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Swizerland by placing second in Group F to Spain.

He will continue to have Roland Andersson as his deputy.
