Scifo takes charge at Mouscron

Former international midfielder Enzo Scifo was named as the new coach of Belgian first division side Mouscron on Thursday.

The 41-year-old Belgian, who enjoyed an impressive club career with Anderlecht, Inter Milan, Torino, Bordeaux, Auxerre and Monaco, signed an 18-month deal, the club said.

Scifo, voted second best player at the 1990 FIFA World Cup finals, succeeds Marc Brys who was ousted from the job last week.

Mouscron currently occupy ninth place in the table with 22 points from 17 matches and have collected just two points in the last six games.
