Cesc Fabregas preserved Arsenal's unbeaten start to the season with a late goal that earned the Gunners a 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard's seventh-minute strike had looked set to be enough to give Liverpool victory, but Arsene Wenger's side were rewarded for a second-half fightback when Fabregas claimed his tenth goal of the season with ten minutes left.

The draw was enough to send Arsenal back to the top of the table, ahead of Manchester United on goals scored having played a match less than the champions.

Liverpool, who also have a match in hand on United, are in sixth place, six points off the leaders.
