Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has penned a new deal with UEFA Champions League finalists Liverpool, the club has revealed.
The deal ties the 25-year-old to the Reds until 2012, and follows quickly on from the new contracts signed by Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.
Reina, who has won the FA Cup and reached a Champions League final in his two years at Anfield, set his sights on better things in the future. "Our supporters deserve to win the championship and that's what we're going to try to do," he said.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is also reportedly closing in on Lyon winger Florent Malouda, and is also being linked with a move for Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o.
