Bundesliga side Werder Bremen have signed Poland winger Ludovic Obraniak from French Cup winners Bordeaux on a two-and-a-half year deal.
The 29-year-old, who was born in France and has spent his career in Ligue 1, can play as either an attacking midfielder or winger.
He has made 32 appearances for Poland and played in all three of the co-hosts UEFA EURO 2012 group matches, but will not feature at Augbsurg in Saturday's league match.
"Ludovic has a strong left foot, I think he feels most comfortable as an attacking midfielder and can be used on the wings," said coach Robin Dutt with Bremen 11th in the table. He will will strengthen our attacking play."
