Greek Super League club Panathinaikos announced Tuesday they have signed Swedish international Emir Bajrami from Dutch side Twente on a three-year contract.

The Kosovo-born Bajrami has made 18 appearances for Sweden, scoring two goals. The attacking midfielder spent this past year on loan at Monaco from parent club Twente, whom he joined in 2010 from Swedish outfit Elfsborg.

Panathinaikos also announced the hiring of former Greek international and Newcastle United and Leicester City defender Nikos Dabizas as technical director. Dabizas, 39, was a member of Greece's UEFA EURO 2004 title-winning squad.
