Konstantin Rausch will be a Stuttgart player next season after electing to sign from Hannover on a three-year deal.
The 23-year-old's contract with Hannover will run down and he will join the Swabians on a free transfer in the summer after five years at Die Roten. "It is fantastic that Konstantin has chosen us given all of the options he had," said Stuttgart's director of sport Fredi Bobic.
"We have shown him clearly what we intend to do with him and our team. Konstantin is a young, German player who has established himself in the Bundesliga. He is versatile, passionate and has a good mentality."
Rausch, who has made 148 Bundesliga appearances and played 19 times in the UEFA Europa League already, is looking forward to his new challenge in Baden-Wurttemberg.
"I had some really good talks with Fredi Bobic and (Stuttgart coach) Bruno Labbadia," he said on Stuttgart's website. "They convinced me and gave me a really good feeling that moving to Stuttgart was the right step. I am now looking forward to this new challenge."
