Seongnam Chunma continued their impressive revival with a 1-0 victory at fourth-placed Ulsan Hyundai in the K-League today.
Seongnam had taken only two points from their opening five matches but today's victory, earned courtesy of Kim Sungjoon's 60th-minute strike, was their third win on the trot and saw them climb up to eighth.
Ulsan could have moved second with a win but the loss, only thier second of the season, sees them remain four points behind leaders Pohang Steelers.
Second-bottom Gangwon are still looking for their first win after drawing 1-1 at Gyeongnam. Hosts Gyeongnam took a 62nd-minute lead through Milan Bubalo but Gangwon equalised seven minutes later with a Ianis Zicu goal.
Today's other K-League match also failed to produce a winner with Chunnam Dragons drawing 2-2 with Busan I'Park.
Busan took a 26th-minute lead through Lim Sang-hyub but then needed a 90th-minute equaliser from the midfielder to salvage a point after Chunnam had turned the game on its head with second-half goals from Hong Jingi and Wesley.
