Laguna close on summit

Santos Laguna moved up to second place in Mexico's Clausura with a 1-0 win over Monterrey on Friday.

Felipe Baloy's 16th-minute goal proved enough to lift the Green and Whites above Atlas and Club America, to within a point of pacesetters Tigres Monterrey.

In the other match played, Leon came from two goals down to draw at Jaguares.

Leiton Jimenez and Luis Rey netted within the space of eight second half minutes to have the hosts in control but Carlos Pena pulled a goal back three minutes later and Edwin Hernandez's late goal - only Leon's 12th in 15 matches - moved them off the bottom and to within four points of their opponents.
