Tigres overpower Toluca

Tigres Monterrey returned to the top of the Clausura after cruising to a 4-1 victory at Toluca on Sunday.

Tigres had been knocked off the summit by Club America on Saturday, but Anselmo Juninho's strike just after the half hour and Lucas Lobos' 51st-minute penalty put them on course to regain top spot.

Edgar Duenas halved the deficit but their hopes of claiming a share of the spoils were dashed by efforts from Emanuel Villa and Luis García Fernandez in the closing stages.

Elsewhere, Miguel Herrera's 10th-minute strike was enough to help Pachuca to a 1-0 win at Santos Laguna.
