Chauvin appointed Brest coach

Brest have appointed Landry Chauvin as their new coach after the Frenchman resigned from Ligue 2 side Nantes, the French top flight club have announced.

The 43-year-old Chauvin, whose relations with Nantes owner Waldemar Kita had deteriorated as the club fought for their top flight survival, has signed a two-year deal with the option of an extra year.

He succeeds Corentin Martins as coach of the Breton side, who finished the season sixth from bottom of Ligue 1.
